We are pleased to present a new edition of the www.st-elmo.org website. Funding for this project was provided by the Neighborhood Partners Program, administered by the City of Chattanooga Department of Neighborhood Services and Community Development. Many thanks to Rebekah Marr, president of the Community Association of Historic St Elmo (CAHSE) and Debbie Johnson with Chattanooga Neighborhood Services for helping this project become a reality.
We hope you like the new look and updated content. However, the most important goal of this project was to rebuild the site in such a way that it will be much easier to maintain, to delegate the content development, and to add new features down the road. Hopefully you like what you see so far, but there is plenty more to come!
This is a community-focused website that we want to reflect the unique, fun, diverse place that St Elmo is. If you think we need more information about or more pictures of something, YOU may be just the person we've been waiting for to contribute that piece! Don't hesitate to drop an email, document, or photo at our virtual doorstep at website@st-elmo.org .
More specifically, if you own or work at a business in St Elmo, pastor or attend a church in St Elmo, or provide services to the St Elmo area, please look over our site sections to see if we need to add to or update our listings. If you have a particular recreational activity of choice or are a member of an interest group that is open to new members, we can find a place to help you spread the word.
If you don't want to miss a single update, you can subscribe to the StElmoOrg Twitter feed. Future planned improvements include reader comments, recommending or rating services, and improved integration with the Neighbors Email List. Stay tuned!
