Forest Hills Cemetery is planning a new historic walking tour this spring, complete with music, period costumes and information on some of the significant and interesting people interred there, according to Superintendent Barbara Chandler. Located on the north end of St. Elmo, nestled in part on Hawkins Ridge, the cemetery was established in 1880 and is one of the most beautiful cemeteries in the region. For announcements regarding when the tours will start or if you are interested in being a volunteer tour guide, check their Web site, www.foresthillscemetery.net, or call (423) 821-4161.
